Six hands-on demos reproduce the real screens with sample data. Follow the highlighted control, read the tips, and when you can do it here, you can do it on the live system. Progress is saved in this browser, so you can stop and come back.
Start with the ones for your job. Admins should do all six; Settings first, because everything else reads from it.
Where a job is at a glance. The same words appear on lists, Kanban boards and the dashboard.
Click into the scan box first so it has focus, then scan the traveler barcode, not the part label. If the number is damaged, type the order number and press Enter. Open Scan from the menu on every station PC after a restart.
From a quote or traveler the search starts filtered to that part. Click the × on Part (optional) to search the whole library for the specification.
Change the quote, then create the sales order again from it. Editing the sales order's parts directly leaves the quote out of date, which confuses the next revision.
Click Hold on the Work Log, enter your badge and a comment, and tell your supervisor. The time is logged either way; the comment explains it.
Hold pauses the order until a supervisor releases it. Rework sends it back through part of the route and keeps the earlier logs. Reject ends the job as failed. All three stop every station and need a comment.
Settings → Option Sets. Part types, materials, coatings, charge types, ship methods and order statuses are all lists an admin maintains there. If a value is missing, ask an admin to add it; do not pick a near miss.
Only clients with Work order notifications switched On (client page → Notifications tab), and only for the statuses listed there. Settings → Alerts adds internal emails.
Yes, at different stations. Each station's Work Log is its own record with its own worker name. Two people at one station share one log; the one who clicked Start is recorded.
Use the switch at the top. Auto follows your computer's setting. Station PCs in bright areas usually read better in Light; offices often prefer Dark in the evening.
The demos show how each step should work. These are the places the live app currently differs; see the End-to-End QA Report for details.
The SOMOS ERP Pro User Guide covers every page; the Illustrated Job Walkthrough has screenshots of the flow in these demos.
